AWARENESS leads to INSIGHT which leads to better LEADERSHIP…
Assessments help managers and teams understand behaviour. With greater self-awareness managers can adapt and flex their own interpersonal communication and leadership skills to increase and enhance employee engagement and productivity.
When managers have deeper self-awareness they become more confident in their own leadership and how they can step up to their role more effectively.
Teams can shift from peeved to productive when they can understand each other better. An assessment, with a thorough debrief session, provides, in the first instance, the knowledge needed to understand styles and behaviours, plus the space for discussion and clarification which removes barriers and old conflict triggers.
I am certified to administer a range of assessments. Let’s have a conversation if you can see a need to:
- improve interpersonal communication amongst a team;
- engage more quickly and effectively with your team in order to improve performance and productivity;
- work out how to motivate and re-engage the team;

- find a way to resolve conflict quickly and effectively;
- want your managers to focus on key areas for their leadership development;

LEADERSHIP EFFECTIVENESS ASSESSMENT
The LEA™ measures 22 leadership behaviours grouped into six core functions, creating a uniquely insightful profile that provides a nuanced and scientifically sophisticated development tool. By embracing individual leadership styles and placing them within the context of your organisational environment, the LEA™ stimulates individual and team growth through insights that are accurate, encouraging, and actionable. Available as self and 360 options.
DISC
As the world’s most popular behavioural assessment, DISC offers a simple solution with profound results. Learn how to identify the behavioural styles of others and adapt your communication to increase sales, assemble teams, target new hires, develop “rockstar” leaders, and more.
EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
Research indicates that Emotional Intelligence (EIQ) can be learned and can be seen as measurable differences directly associated with professional and personal success. Furthermore, it may be responsible for up to 80% of the success we experience in life. This assessment serves to heighten awareness of our own EIQ, identify relative strengths and weaknesses based on our emotional dispositions, and provide a framework for interpersonal and intrapersonal effectiveness.
MOTIVATORS
Just as the DISC assessment gives insight into “how” someone will behave, the Motivators assessment explains “why.” Motivators are the reasons we want to act. They help people to better understand their value hierarchy or belief system. They filter and guide decisions specifically toward the results that reflect them, and they combine uniquely for each person to influence priorities and decision making. Motivators reveal our viewpoint, our mindset, and our paradigm of thought.
Research shows successful people share a common trait of self-awareness and an awareness of those around them. Through building a greater understanding of the motivator dimensions in general, it becomes easier to see how they influence and guide behaviors to move people forward or keep them still.
BELBIN TEAM ROLES
Research shows that the most successful teams are made up of a diverse mix of behaviours; they have access to all nine Belbin Team Roles.
This doesn’t mean that every team requires nine people! Most people will have two or three Team Roles that they are most comfortable with.
By using Belbin, individuals have a greater self-understanding of their strengths, which leads to more effective communication between colleagues and managers. Great teams can be put together, existing teams can be understood and improved, and everyone can feel that they are making a difference in the workplace.
It also works effectively with leadership and management development, conflict resolution, recruitment, career development, employee engagement and coaching.
CONFLICT DYNAMICS PROFILE
The Conflict Dynamics Profile (CDP), an assessment instrument measuring conflict behaviours, is an excellent resource to increase self-awareness and improve conflict management skills. The CDP is unlike any other assessment tool in that it focuses specifically on conflict behaviours, rather than styles. It helps individuals and teams understand how they respond to conflict, what triggers can escalate conflict, and how to manage conflict more effectively.
Two versions of the instrument—the CDP-Individual (CDP-I) and CDP-360— emphasize an action-oriented approach which leads to real improvement. A thorough Development Guide provides information and tips for coping with conflict and building strong interpersonal relationships.
