Now more than ever before leaders, when afforded even a small slice of time and space to focus on their physical, emotional and intellectual selves they are more confident, resilient and effective leaders.

According to the Headspace Work 2021 Mental Health Trends Report:

  • mental health is a rising threat to retention, engagement, and productivity;
  • work stress impacts personal lives and productivity; and
  • about half of all people say work stress bleeds over into their personal lives.

For leaders to have exceptional leadership the solid foundation is great self-leadership. The one day retreat is a day of self-leadership that is 100% designed to empower, spark self-leadership, and fill up the tank physically, emotionally and intellectually.

Taking in the views of the surrounding mountains, we are led by a certified yoga instructor who gently gets our mind and body ready for the day. [Alternative activities could include mindfulness session or guided meditation.]

We will cover nine steps to spark self-leadership, ensuring you shift from invisible to invincible. Leaders who have a strong sense of who they are and lead themselves effectively have more confidence, influence and courage. These are three essential skills leaders need to meet today’s constantly shifting and demanding challenges. Skills are teachable, like delegation and feedback, but building the confidence, influence and courage to step up as a leader others want to follow starts with building self-leadership.

[Optional extra: a massage therapist can join us throughout the workshop to provide head, neck and shoulder massages for each participant.]

        

 

We round out your retreat with a facilitated mindfulness walk in a nearby bushwalk with an expert outdoor education specialist.

OUTDOORS

The majority of the retreat will be outdoors, on acreage, even the workshop is on the patio overlooking the mountain ranges of SE Qld.

FRIDAYS

It is highly recommended to run your retreat on a Friday/last work day or your week. A Friday retreat has proven to be conducive to participants being fully present during the retreat as well as helping set each participant up for ending out their week with greater mindfulness and less stress. 

GOOD FOOD

No fast food! No junk food! Tasty, healthy good food to feed your body and brain. Dietary requirments are taken into account.

 


RESOURCES

Everyone will recieve a journal / workbook to capture their learning and goals. Including an action plan for implementing the learning from the retreat.

All the resources for the activities will be provided.

FOLLOW UP

Let’s catch up within the next two weeks to ensure the learning sticks. In this one hour online group community of practice session we will check in with participants and share the insights and wins since the retreat. This is the time to ask questions about any areas where participants might feel a bit stuck, where something hasn’t gone as anticipated.
