Create an engaged and effective team with an abundance mindset
It’s very common for many team members to grow gradually disengaged and to contribute less effectively to team goals. Some even develop the silo mindset and withhold information and help from the rest of the team. This session is designed to reverse this trend and create a positive culture, using a psychological framework called the “abundance mindset.” It combines core values and belief systems, with communication techniques that can persuade and influence in authentic ways. The overall result is an engaged and effective team.

There are two trends that have a huge impact in the world today. They affect everything from business strategy to societal norms, from international politics to personal decisions. These trends are impactful on their own but when they intersect they introduce significant disruptions to how we expect the world to work and what we anticipate in the future.
Two Trends That Explain the World Today
There are two trends that have a huge impact in the world today. They affect everything from business strategy to societal norms, from international politics to personal decisions. These trends are impactful on their own but when they intersect they introduce significant disruptions to how we expect the world to work and what we anticipate in the future.
At their core, these trends are about people and how they see the world. Their fears, hopes, anxieties and aspirations are the lenses through which they see change and development. They explain why people sometimes support initiatives and other times undermine efforts - even if they don’t understand why themselves.
The first trend is the continuum of binary to fluid. The world is not just black or white, on or off, right or wrong, but beautiful in its complexity.
The second is the tension between scarcity and abundance of market demands, personal resources, environmental implications and developing technologies.
Key Take-Aways:
1️⃣ An understanding of the binary / fluid trend as well as the scarcity / abundance trend.
2️⃣ Seeing and interpreting other trends, drivers of change, policy and social changes through the lens of these trends.
3️⃣ An understanding of how these trends relate to a person’s mindset and values.
4️⃣ As our mindsets determine whether we see tasks as problems or opportunities or change as threat or development, a manager can then see why initiatives are supported or not, or why certain people respond positively or negatively to changes in the workplace.
5️⃣ Having a tool or a narrative to understand why people may feel the way they do, removes the confusion when people don’t respond how we expect.
6️⃣ This understanding gives managers a valuable lens to see the broader picture of the organisation’s direction as well and to see their role in supporting, sustaining, or shifting organisational goals.
7️⃣ These trends are helpful to middle managers to see both up and down the organisation as well as the broader field that they operate in.

The key to surviving and thriving in middle management is to understand that it is really 3 roles in one: Doer, Leader, and Influencer. Developing skills for each of these distinct roles gives middle leaders a toolkit to draw on as they navigate the challenges of managing up, leading teams, and gaining commitment from peers and senior leaders.
Doer, Leader, & Influencer - The Roles of Middle Manager
Middle management can sometimes feel like the most underappreciated place in the corporate hierarchy. Yet, it is where most people will spend the vast majority of their careers. It is also, arguably, where the most important work of the business happens. No vision or strategy that comes from the top can come to life in the actions of frontline employees without passing through the hands, actions, and words of the leaders in the middle.
We will explore the Doer-Leader-Influencer framework and provide practical tools for each of these essential roles.

Middle managers are often caught in a whirlwind of competing priorities, unclear goals, and constant pressure to deliver results. Without intentional leadership, this leads to poor communication, dwindling employee engagement, mounting stress and lower productivity.
Intentional Leadership Drives Excellence
In today’s fast-paced environment, middle managers are often caught in a whirlwind of competing priorities, unclear goals, and constant pressure to deliver results. Without intentional leadership, this leads to poor communication, dwindling employee engagement, mounting stress and lower productivity.
These issues don’t just hinder performance, though. They result in a cycle of reactivity and burnout that limits both individual and organisational success. Then, you carry all this home.
Intentional leadership’s core is the understanding that self-leadership is the foundation of team (and home) success. When leaders take ownership of their mindset, habits, and behaviours, they build resilience and gain the clarity needed to guide their teams (and families) through complexity with calm confidence.
This session challenges you to look inward, reconnect with your values, and act with greater focus and intention. Only when leaders lead themselves well can they truly drive excellence in themselves, let alone those around them.
Key Take-aways
Know how to keep your wings level and get stuff done!
Understand how Intentional Leadership can break the cycle of chaos.
Learn how to be selfish so you can be selfless.
Learn how to inspire trust, energise teams, and achieve sustainable results.
Walk away with practical strategies to immediately reduce stress.
Understand how to drive a culture of excellence.

Based on 5,000 exit interviews, learn the 9 keys to keeping your best people from walking out the door!
9 Keys to Keep Your Best People from Walking Out the Door: Based on over 5000 exit interviews.
The research is clear. Your ability to keep your best people from walking out the door is a direct result of their manager's ability to connect with them and to understand what they need to be fully motivated and engaged. Connection begins with conversation, but most managers don't talk to their people enough or about the right things because they are confused and frustrated about what their people really want. Luckily, reverse engineering over 5,000 exit interviews gives us significant clues as to what workers really want and what employers need to deliver to keep their teams together during this time of immense change.
Take-aways:
A practical model, based on over 5,000 exit interviews and updated to include the latest international research to increase employee motivation and wellbeing.
An understanding of how you, the leader, directly impact your team’s performance and engagement and what you can do about it.
A proven framework to help inspire, measure and manage high performance (especially with a remote or hybrid workforce)
