In the work I’ve done with managers and leaders across many industries and countries there are some common struggles that almost every manager or leader has:
- Long hours, that lead to prolonged fatigue that leads to poor, delayed and costly decision making
- Not delegating because:
- “Everyone is already too busy”
- “They won’t do it right or to my expectation”
- “It’s my head on the block if it goes wrong”
- Avoiding difficult performance conversations which can result in increased staff turnover, poor employee engagement due to continued poor performance of those who need to improve
